Update 6:00pm CLT: Hamalawy reports Gemyhood, Fat’hy Fareed and Hisham Tuleib released after being abused by police.

Update 5:30pm CLT: Kefaya reports blogger Mina is released and no information yet on his condition. Abdel Qodoos, Fat’hy Fareed, blogger Gemyhood and others are still kidnapped to unknown location

Mubarak black regime is doing it again

Today journalist and writer Mohamed Abdel Qodoos, Fat’hy Fareed -and probably others together- with bloggers Malek MustafaMohammed Gamal and Mina were kidnapped from Cairo down town streets as they were heading to protest the farce constitutional amendments suggested by the ailing dictator Mubarak

This is the second time in less than one week a Kefaya protest is violently disbursed using the drying-sources technique. Plain cloth police spread in all roads leading to the gathering point then violently beat and sometimes kidnap activists as they identify them. Malek Mustafa, blogger and Kefaya webmaster, was held in a private car, plates #865171-Cairo, by plain cloth men but was then released after more than 3 hours. Still Fat’hy Fareed and Mohamed Abdel Qodoos, Secretary for Press Syndicate’s Freedoms Committee and blogger Mohammed Gamal are kidnapped to unknown location. Activists are gathering at Press Syndicate at the moment and lawyers are heading down town

Kefaya and all national forces had called earlier for today’s protest at Egyptian parliament against farce constitutional amendments suggested by ailing dictator Hosni Mubarak and aimed at limiting freedoms, manipulating elections, heridetery rule, and abolishing the socialist gains of the 1952 military coup

Not only do activists in Egypt take the risk of detentions and tortures but they also have to live with tapped phones and being followed in the streets. Egypt is becoming a real big prison. Blogger Kareem Amer, Presidential candidate Ayman Nour, MP Talaat el-Sadat, hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood leaders and activists are today in jail. It seems weather you are an Islamist, Liberal, or Leftist; nothing will save you from jail. The clear message is “stay out of politics” because the big brother is in control and he is getting the damn US support. Well done America, preach about Middle East democracy no more – Please! n

  1. Egyptian police is arresting opposition and opposing political activists and International political sources predict the begging of the End of the Egyptian regime on April 6th 2008, when the masses begin the Civil Disobedience across Egypt intended for total change.

  3. Mubarak is just a typical ignorant tyrant and brainless Dictator, installed and implanted by the international Zionist Mob of America and the Special so called western interest groups a branch of the same Zionist criminal Mob, to serve as their foot soldier around Egypt and neighbouring countries, in exchange this idiot is granted to rule Illegitimately and without any accountability, and absence of all civil rights and present of draconian jungle laws, to inflict maximum brutally in abusing civilians rights and denying them all human rights , all under the cover of protecting national security bullshit, for these crimes against humanity he is supported financially and equipped to enjoy the free luxury life in the many palaces across Egypt and Europe with a hefty Swiss, Monaco and European investment bank accounts, full of stolen and squandered money from Egypt and under the table commissions paid for the shady deals fulfilled by Mubarak and his associate Gang members, what is quite amazing that all this is a fact and happening in 2008 in the 21st Century, would you say the Westerners are really civilised ? For protecting and supporting such criminals? but for how long before it really back fires ?
